April - June 2012

We have had another busy few month following our holidays. What with looking after Mum, visiting Dad, and helping Gillian and Janette ..... and of course Chloe!

Debbie's brother Mick, put on a surprise birthday meal for his wife Barbara. It was good to see Mick's son Paul and his family, Barbara's family and Deb's cousin Sue.

Dave Rosedon's 70th birthday - we spent a great evening with Dave & Pam and all their friends at a nice little restaurant in Welling.

Guy and Angela came up this way for a few days to visit the Chelsea Flower Show. It was good to see them and we had a smashing meal at the Green Man.

Mike and Hilary put on a fantastic BBQ on the weekend of the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. It was good to see Mike and Hilary as well as Joyce, Alex, Andrew, Megan and Josh, Clive and Riordan, and all of Mike and Hilary's friends.

Gillian has been progressing really well and has started back at work - much earlier than any of us thought. It's great to see her looking so well!

April 2012

After a trying few months, Debbie and I managed to get away for a couple of weeks with our friends Richard and Angela. We flew out to Florida and for the first day stayed in hotels in the Fort Lauderdale Marina area. The following day we boarded Navigator of the Seas for a transatlantic cruise back to Europe.

We had a great time and really enjoyed the days relaxing on board whilst cruising across the pond! We stopped at Tenerife and then cruised through the straits of Gibraltar to Majorca, Barcelona, Toulon, Livorno, and finally on to Rome. We flew back from Rome after an incredibly relaxing couple of weeks.

Jan - March 2012

It has been a funny few months - not in a particularly good way!

Firstly Debbie's Dad, Frank - who has been in hospital since November 2011, was finally moved from hospital to the Sidcup Nursing Home. Dad has lots of medical and physical problems and can't manage to walk much, let alone get up to their first floor flat. He seems settled but has good days and bad days.

Next came a bit of a nightmare, Gillian was rushed into hospital with a brain aneurism and was very ill for quite a few weeks. Luckily she pulled through and is now recovering, although it is likely to be a long process.

Thank you to all our family and friends for their love, support and prayers over a very difficult period.
